Welcome to the 3rd Annual Maui Derm Caribbean 2025!

We invite you to join us at the 3rd Annual Maui Derm Caribbean dermatology meeting to be held in-person at the Westin Hotel between January 8-11, 2025. Dr. Joe Fowler and Dr. George Martin have come together to bring you the best of Maui Derm with a Caribbean flavor! Maui Derm Caribbean brings you an amazing educational meeting featuring speakers and topics that will impact the way you practice dermatology. Our 2025 meeting will be presented in the intimate and family friendly environment of the Westin Hotel and there will be no virtual meeting broadcast. We welcome back those of you who have attended previous dermatology conferences in the Caribbean. And you newcomers will find St. Thomas to be a charming and accessible tropical paradise, always warm and inviting.

Overall Learning Objectives
  1. Explain the pathogenesis of various dermatological conditions

  2. Cite the mechanisms of action of drugs and therapies that are commonly prescribed by the dermatologist

  3. Describe potential adverse effects and resistance issues that may be related to the use of drugs and therapies prescribed by clinicians in dermatology 

  4. Describe techniques to avoid and manage potential side effects and complications related to dermatologic therapies and procedures  

  5. Define appropriate outcome measures for the optimal follow-up of patients with dermatologic diseases as well as those receiving surgical and cosmetic procedures

  6. Assess the data related to emerging therapies for the treatment of a variety of dermatologic diseases 

  7. Recognize the important role of clinician/patient communication
