HS is one of the most challenging clinical situations managed by the dermatologist. A combination of medical and surgical management strategies are needed to optimize clinical outcomes. The introduction of new biologic therapies have become the cornerstone of HS therapy due to their ability to decrease inflammation and spare patients from surgical procedures. Dr. Chovatiya will discuss how to manage HS patients, the role of currently approved biologic therapies and what new biologic and oral systemic therapies are on the near horizon.
