A. Yasmine Kirkorian, M.D., is a dermatologist and chief of Dermatology at Children’s National Hospital. Her interests and expertise include vascular birthmarks, neonatal dermatology, genetic skin disorders, inflammatory skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis, pigmented lesions (moles), acne and hyperhidrosis (increased sweating). She is an expert in laser and surgical treatments for pediatric dermatology patients. Dr. Kirkorian provides laser services in both the clinic and in the operating room for patients as part of her services in the Vascular Anomalies Clinic. Pulsed dye laser (PDL) is the standard of care for the treatment of vascular birthmarks and Dr. Kirkorian is an expert on the use of PDL for the treatment of vascular birthmarks.

Dr. Kirkorian has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on topics in pediatric and general dermatology. She has given presentations at many national meetings and is interested in community outreach.

Dr. Kirkorian grew up in New York City. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in French Language & Literature and Human Biology from the University of Virginia and a medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed residency training in dermatology at the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine and her fellowship training in pediatric dermatology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
