We invite you to join us at the 1st Annual Maui Derm Caribbean dermatology meeting to be held in-person at the Hilton Resort in Aruba between January 11–14, 2023. Dr. Joe Fowler and Dr. George Martin have come together to bring you the best of Maui Derm with a Caribbean flavor! After years of running dermatology meetings, Drs. Fowler and Martin are teaming up to bring you an amazing educational meeting featuring speakers and topics that will impact the way you practice dermatology. Maui Derm Caribbean 2023 will be presented in the intimate and safe environment of the Hilton Aruba and there will be no virtual meeting broadcast. We welcome back those of you who have attended previous dermatology conferences in Aruba. And you newcomers will find Aruba to be a charming and accessible tropical paradise, always warm and inviting.
Learning Objectives
As a result of attending the Maui Derm Caribbean 2024, attendees should be able to:
- Explain the pathogenesis of various dermatological conditions
- Cite the mechanisms of action of drugs and therapies that are commonly prescribed by the dermatologist
- Describe potential adverse effects and resistance issues that may be related to the use of drugs and therapies prescribed by clinicians in dermatology
- Describe techniques to avoid and manage potential side effects and complications related to dermatologic therapies and procedures
- Define appropriate outcome measures for the optimal follow-up of patients with dermatologic diseases
- Assess the data related to emerging therapies for the treatment of a variety of dermatologic diseases
- Recognize the important role of clinician/patient communication
