Melodie Young is a Nurse Practitioner at Modern Dermatology, a Baylor-Health Texas Affiliate in Dallas, Texas with Jennifer Cather, MD and a partner in Modern Research Associates, a clinical trials unit also in Dallas. She started her dermatology career as a phototherapy nurse and later became the Director of the Baylor Psoriasis Center, National Psoriasis Tissue Bank and Dermatology Research Center all at Baylor University Medical Center. Her undergraduate degree is from William Jewell College and her Masters degree and NP programs are from The University of Texas at Arlington. Melodie is certified as an Adult and Geriatric NP, and as a Dermatology NP. She has served as the President of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association, past Chair of the NP Society of DNA, as a founding member of the Board of the International Psoriasis Council and on the Medical Advisory Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation.
