Elizabeth Seiverling, MD
Dr. Elizabeth “Vinny” Seiverling is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She attended Penn State College of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine internship at Massachusetts General Hospital followed by Dermatology residency at the University of California San Francisco. Prior to joining the Tufts Dermatology faculty in 2020, she was the Dermatology Division Director for Maine Medical Center and the medical director for Maine Medical Partner’s Skin Oncology clinic. She has a special interest in noninvasive tools for the detection of skin cancer such as dermoscopy, reflectance confocal microscopy and total body photography. Her research focuses on studying the impact of dermoscopy training in the primary care setting. She has created innovative care delivery models utilizing teledermatology and teledermoscopy to improve access to care in rural settings. She has developed multiple dermoscopy curricula and is on the American Academy of Dermatology Basic Dermatology Curriculum Work Group to add dermoscopy to standard medical student education. She is a member of the International Dermoscopy Society Educational Work Group aimed at optimizing dermoscopy and skin cancer detection training for all types of learners. In 2022, in addition to her clinical role at Tufts, Dr. Seiverling joined ConferMED and the Weitzman Institute to expand their dermatology educational offerings.
