Alain Rook, MD
Dr. Alain Rook is presently Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Program at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Rook came to Penn from the National Institutes of Health after training in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Immunology and completed additional training in Dermatology. Today, he directs the The Cutaneous Lymphoma program at Penn which is served by three full time faculty and which presently evaluates nearly 500 new patients and has more than 2000 outpatients annually with various cutaneous lymphomas. Dr. Rook has a specific interest in the development of novel immune potentiating therapeutic approaches to the treatment of mycosis fungicides and Sezary syndrome. His translational research efforts have been supported by more than 20 years of NIH funding. Dr. Rook is the author of 250 peer reviewed articles, chapters and reviews.
