Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics University of Miami Miller School of Medicine since 1990. Former director of the pigmented lesion clinic at UM for more than 19 years.

Main focus of interest is the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and pediatric dermatology with expertise in dermoscopy and digital dermoscopy.

1st author of two dermoscopy text books the latest Dermoscopy Self- Assistant Guide by McGraw Hill.

Got dermoscopy off the ground in the US with lectures at the summer and winter AAD meetings since 1995. Creator and director of the basic and advanced dermoscopy courses at the AAD for more than ten years.

Hobbies include skiing, surfing and martial arts. Second degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate and instructor at the Fred Villari School of Self defense in Boca Raton.
