Mi Ryung (Karen) Roh, MD
Dr. Mi Ryung Roh is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. She received her MD degree from Yonsei University College of Medicine, where she also completed her dermatology residency and dermatologic surgery fellowship. In 2012, she was appointed assistant professor at the same institute and started her practice at Gangnam Severance Hospital.
Dr. Roh specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction for skin cancers, including melanoma. After her fellowship with Dr. Kee-Yang Chung from 2007 to 2009, she has been the head of dermatologic surgery at Gangnam Severance Hospital and also one of the leading dermatologic surgeons in Korea. Collaborating with Dr. Kee Yang Chung, Melanoma Special Clinic was established at Severance Hospital and it is the best known clinic for melanoma in Korea, specializing in the research and treatment of acral melanomas. Dr. Roh also has great clinical and research interests in the field of scar and keloid. She is also the head of the Scar Clinic at Gangnam Severance Hospital.
As an active member of the Korean dermatologic community, Dr. Roh belongs to numerous professional organizations. She is an active member of the Korean Dermatological Association, Korean Society for Investigative Dermatology, Korean Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Korean Society of Skin Cancer. She is also an Associate editor for the British Journal of Dermatology.
