Sheila Fallon-Friedlander, MD
Dr. Sheila Fallon-Friedlander is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Medicine (Dermatology) at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (UCSD), and Director of the Dermatology Fellowship Training Program at Rady Children’s Hospital. Dr. Friedlander trained at the University of Chicago and UCLA Medical Center and is board certified in Pediatrics, and Dermatology, with sub-specialty certification in Pediatric Dermatology. She is a member of the Academy of Clinician Scholars at UCSD, immediate past President for the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and is an elected member of the American Academy of Dermatology Board of Directors. Research interests include the etiology of infantile vascular lesions, and cutaneous infectious diseases; and she has authored more than 100 scholarly texts. Her honors include the UCSD Pediatric (as well as Dermatology) Faculty teaching award, the Upjohn/UCLA Outstanding Resident Research Award, the AAD Gold Triangle Award, and the Children’s Hospital Physician’s Recognition Award. She has been listed in Best Doctors, Top Doctors, Who’s Who in America, and 2000 Notable American Women.
